Many years of intensive research into anti-gravity enabled the UCS engineers to construct flying vehicles. A generator device is attached to a light unit, giving it incredible speed and maneuverability. A G-load problem does not exist, as the generator is able to create its own gravity around the unit. This keeps the unit stable and balanced. The generators are normally used with Gargoil-type fighter units, heavy bombers and transporters.

The UCS Army, controlled by strategic computers, spent huge sums during the war on scientific research into new types of weaponry. As a result, great progress was made in the field of plasma weapon development. Its tremendous destructive power, quick-firing chamber and low energy consumption makes it the perfect all-around weapon.

The big breakthrough came when the scientists at last figured out how to adapt the old satellite reconnaissance system of 2142 into a new plasma gunnery system. This allowed plasma beams shot from ground-based guns to be redirected to hit any target on the Earth's surface, enabling destruction of enemy vehicles and structures hidden in places inaccessible to regular UCS units.
